Statement of Faith
We believe in:
- The Word of God, consisting of 66 books comprising the Old and New Testaments, written by men divinely inspired of the Holy Spirit, being infallible Scripture, the final authority in matters of faith and conduct
- The sovereign triune God, maker of heaven and earth, eternally existent in three persons, in unity Father, Son and Holy Spirit
- The deity of Christ, eternally one with God, truly God and truly man, in his humanity conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, sinless in his earthly life
- The Holy Spirit, the third person of the trinity, eternally one with the Father and Son
- The suffering and bodily death and resurrection of Christ; His ascension to the right hand of God; His substitutionary atonement for all humanity, effective for believers
- The personal and visible return of Christ; the final and great judgment; the eternal fellowship of believers with Christ and the eternal destruction of the unrighteous
- Salvation by the grace of God, not of works of the Law but through the finished work of Christ, being freely justified by faith in Christ, and sanctified by the Holy Spirit
- The ministry of the Holy Spirit in revealing to heart and mind the love of God, leading people to faith in Christ, convicting them of sin and leading them to repentance, regenerating the believer, uniting him/her to Christ in spiritual new birth
- The baptism/filling of the Holy Spirit for all believers and the availability of the gifts of the Holy Spirit
- The sacraments of Baptism (in water by immersion) and the Lord's Supper
- The Church, being the universal Body of Christ (regardless of denominational affiliation), consisting of all those born again of the Holy Spirit, its members meeting together in the name of Christ at least weekly in local gatherings, and governed by biblically defined leaders
- The mandate of Christ to make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
